New commercial marketing head at Barclaycard Commercial
David Daniel has joined Barclaycard Commercial as head of marketing with the aim of strengthening the credit card issuer's relationships with commercial clients.

Barclaycard issues the largest number of Visa commercial cards in Europe and will use market leading innovations such as contactless payments to build Barclaycard’s commercial client base and enhance the level of service current clients receive.

In his new role Daniel will determine the marketing agenda for Barclaycard Commercial and implement growth strategies through all marketing channels.

He has been a member of the Barclays Group’s Global Leaders Programme since joining the bank in 2007. In his most recent role, with Barclays Commercial Bank, Daniel was part of the team that developed new propositions for business customers with cross-border needs, including the launch of the Barclays Latitude Club to customers across Europe and the Emerging Markets.

He completed his MBA at the Judge Business School at University of Cambridge, and holds an economics degree from Middlebury College in the US. Prior to graduate school he was a management consultant in Boston, Massachusetts.
