|MasterCard appoints new head of UK & Ireland marketing
MasterCard has appointed Paul Trueman as head of marketing for its UK and Ireland Division.
Trueman joins the company on 13 June and will be based at the divisional headquarters in London’s Canary Wharf, reporting to Hany Fam, president of MasterCard UK & Ireland.
Trueman was most recently group marketing director UK and Ireland for LG Electronics, the Korean consumer electronics company, where he led corporate brand and product marketing across five divisions, encompassing both B2B and B2C channels.
Before joining LG, Trueman spent 14 years in the FMCG sector working for Cadbury Schweppes and Mars Inc, where he held roles in marketing and innovation.
Trueman commented on his appointment: “I’m looking forward to bringing my experience to bear at a time when MasterCard is looking at new ways to engage and reward consumers - both through innovative technologies that improve the consumer experience, such as mobile payments, and partnerships that speak to a broad range of passions, including sport, music, arts and culture.”
